Fat Blockers work differently than Appetite suppressants. The way they work is that they don’t let fats be divided into glycerol and fatty acids. Our cell membranes cannot absorb fats directly as they are too big to pass through our cell membranes. To break fats into glycerol and fatty acids the enzyme lipase is required.
Now, when you intake Fat blockers they bind with lipases and as a result, fats don’t get to bind with lipase and split into glycerol and fatty acids. Due to this the fat never gets absorbed by our body.
Now the question is does this method work? The good news is that they work pretty well. It has been observed that over 30 percent of the fats are not absorbed when people start taking fat blockers. However, there can be some unwanted side effects as the fats are stored inside our intestine because of this.
